Okay, everyone: How about posting here your May goal. How many Pres Challenge points do you plan to earn this month? Set a goal and then check in with us regularly and let us know how you're doing.
Me: I plan to earn at least 6000 points in May.
And newcomers to our challenge group are invited, welcomed and encouraged! Please join us, whether you're a beginning exerciser or an accomplished gym goer, or somewhere in between. See the thread below with details of how to join.
Keep moving (and reporting to the President)!

I checked my President's challenge log for last May and did over 8000 points that month. I'll try to beat it this May. I have had a cold/allergy thing going the past week that has kept me away from the gym, so I'm not off to the best start this month. Becky

I just joined the challenge and logged in my May activities....(so glad that I am compulsive and write it all down)...it'll be fun to have a new place to "get credit"....I will aim for 6000 ....I'm wearing a pedometer and get "credit" for that too, so that is fun. Thanks...Shirley

I felt better today, and put in a good hour-long workout on the cardio machines at my gym. So far this month, I have 1587 points, which is a little behind my goal, but I'll make it.
go, team!

Okay, I hadn't seen this thread! I thought I would start off simple, but that was before my four hours of home repair yesterday. I'll set my goal at 5000.
I'm at 2057 right now.

Is there somewhere that tells how may points different activities and different amounts of time are worth or do you just have to look after you post the activity?

Aggie, I'm not sure the answer to that question. I believe the points given roughly correspond to the calories burned (so they're based upon your current BMI - a good reason to keep your stats current on the Pres Challenge website).
Becky, WTG!
Everyone, I will be out of town for the weekend (should be back online late Sunday), so I won't be posting. However, I will be working out while on my trip, and I'll report to the President when I get home. Keep moving and reporting in. Have a great weekend!!!

Good Morning, Challengers! I'm back from my trip and fired up to work on fitness goals!
How is everyone doing on your May points challenge? I'm at 4926/6000, and 1300 of my 3100 abs reps for the month are done. Yippee.
Okay, here's a mini-mini challenge just for this week (Mon - Sun). Can everyone commit to doing one new cardio/aerobic workout this week (20 min or longer)? That is, try a new activity or a new tape if you like to do fitness tapes at home or a new class at your gym or find some different way to get in one cardio workout! And can you also do at least 2 strength training workouts of 15 min or longer? Use hand weights, machines at the gym, resistance bands (aka dyna bands, stretchy bands). . . you can Google some great strength training workouts if you're a beginner. . .
Who is on board to mix up our workouts this week?
Keep up the great work, let us know how you're doing and remember to report to the President!
