Hey all, I hope this forum becomes a place for you to share your exercise accomplishments, questions, goals, and fears. For many, exercise is something that is looked upon as a huge step in our weight-loss program. We all know that it is so beneficial to weight-loss, but it can be intimidating and scary starting out. Please feel free to post whatever comes to mind when you think of exercise!!! Monica

I think of walking my dog on the trails by the lake! That's the best exercise to me..... Of course, the temp is waayyyy below freezing, so I better stick to the WATP tapes for now! And, I still have my CURVES membership, but that's not as much fun as it used to be..

I am very proud of myself. Yesterday I did Leslie Sansone's Walk Off the Pounds 3 Miles. What a great workout. I must admit that I do not enjoy exercising, but I know that I have to do it to enjoy good health.

I admit it, I don't like to exercise either! But the benefits keep me coming back. I've been taking a Spinning class once a week, and I'm actually enjoying it! Good music, loud but not too loud, in a darkened room (so no one can really see my thighs), and you can do it at your own pace. And boy, do I work up a good sweat!

I had seen on another post the Yourself Fitness, sounded intriguing, so I got it. So far I have done 5 workouts, what I like the best is not knowing what is coming.... I have many other tapes and get so bored knowing what is coming I find myself ff through parts I don't like. With Maya, I can't and that keeps me on track. I also like hitting the bike trails on my bike. What I have experienced though is a strange anxiety before I exercise...I wonder if anyone else feels this. Sometimes I get this and find a million excuses not to exercise until there is no time left anyway. When I do finally exercise I feel great and am so satisfied. Somewhere in my memory banks I must have had a bad experience is all I can think of. Like if I go for a bike ride, I may not make it back....sort of a failure phobia

Good that you mention the dvd of Leslie walk the pounds away, it is a good one and fun, I also reccomend Diane Voight dvd of 30 minutes exercise for each day of the week look it up in Amazon. She shows a 30 minutes work out for each day. I also agree that CURVES is practical but monotonous
