Looking for a Core Mashed (regular) Potato recipe. I searched through the Sides board but only found one that called for using a dutch oven and roasted garlic. I'm just looking for a plain 'ol mashed tater recipe. Thanks

Wouldn't it be just like any mashed potato recipe? Potatoes (bring to boil and boil 10-15 mins, skin on, or off), mash them with a potato masher (or mixer if you don't like lumpy), add some milk until they're the consistency you'd like (I'd probably use FF evaporated if it were me), some salt, pepper, and you're good to go. Spray them after finished with spray butter, if you miss that buttery taste.

I do what Happy does -- boil, mash, add FF milk, a little salt, a little pepper, and some spray margarine. I've also been known to add olive oil or canola oil to get in a healthy oil and add a bit of fat back into the potatoes! I've read of others adding broth instead of milk and butter, so you could also try that. As for measurements...it's all about the final consistency. I don't measure, I just splash and sprinkle.

I added some FF sour cream and chives the last time I made them. Yummy!
