Hey there-
I'm so sorry to hear about your friend. That's one thing I have not had to deal with yet and I'm not looking forward to it.
Glad you had a nice Mother's Day. Mine was kinda crappy. My Mom has been gone 9 years, and we spend all day with extended family (some in the morning and some in the afternoon) and it's all centered around eating. I don't get a choice in the matter, so it is what it is.

5/13/08 Breakfast: Smoothie Lunch: Leftover kielbasi, sauerkraut and potatoes from Saturday...not Core but homemade...good... Dinner: Baked flounder w/mango and strawberry salsa, brown rice, salad, corn

Hey there! Yes, I've been a leader for about 6 months doing some At-Works and subbing once in awhile in the centers. I didn't really want to advertise that on Kippy's though. I love it, actually. I'm trying to pick up a few more meetings now. With DS only in half day school I only did 2 and now I'm down to one. But next year he's in all day so I'd like to get up to 4 or 5 if I could. That being said, my monthly weigh in is an employee weigh in, as you know! And I do keep juggling with this 5 lb gain and usually get pretty close to where I need to be by the time I need to weigh in. I have about 8 days to get things into gear, I'll weigh in next Thursday morning. This is NOT a good habit and stressful. I'm hoping this will be the last month of it and I'm determined to try and stay consistent.
I haven't tried the Firm yet. I went back to the gym yesterday and did the elliptical. My Dr. told me to not do anything like that because of tendonitis, but I've been laying low for 2 weeks and it seemed to be okay.
Things have really quieted down on Kippy's - there used to be so much energy and momentum here. Oh well. I hope the old crowd is doing okay.

5/14/08 Breakfast: Polenta w/soy cheese and 2 eggs over easy on top Lunch: Leftover Core baked chicken fingers, brown rice, 1 orange Dinner: Core meatloaf, ww couscous, grilled portabello mushrooms, sauteed zucchini
APs: Walking at lunch, WI tonight at my meeting 8GHG: Trying.
I missed everyone at my meeting last week, if they even had it because of traffic, so I'm looking forward to seeing everyone but not my WI. But... onward and downward.

APs: Yes getting in a walk at lunch and a hard Firm workout after work. 8GHG: Yes.
Had jury duty yesteday, got on a case, it was settled before we could start! Hurray - I did not want to be there for a week.

5/21/08 Breakfast: Polenta w/2 eggs over easy Lunch: Kielbasi, sauerkraut, new potatoes, dates, cherries Dinner: Boneless pork chops, some veggies - DBF is cooking! OK ... he got home too late from food shopping so we got take-out Chinese instead. I got steamed chicken & broccoli, garlic sauce on the side, and brown rice. I did have some sauce, and 2 fortune cookies, then some mango and watermelon for dessert. Not too bad.
APs: Walking at lunch, it's WI day so no exercise after work. 8GHG: Trying today.

APs: Raining again in NJ so probably no walk at lunch, but definitely the Firm after work! 8GHG: Trying.
Lost 1.6 last night at WI... here I go down again, I hope. A nice long party weekend coming up too. I am sad though because I found out one of my long-time WW friends is not coming to meetings anymore...she did lose close to 100 lbs. but her mother paid for their membership (to encourage her to join, initially) and she just can't afford it anymore. Plus she and DH were in a bad accident in Dec., he was injured so she is working OT and 2 jobs. We will stay in touch but it's sad to lose one of my meeting friends...I do have some at my meeting, gotta work on making others.

5/27/08 Breakfast: Smoothie, 1 piece dark brown bread toast Lunch: Salad in cafe Dinner: Baked flounder, veggies, salad DBF is off this week doing things so he is cooking dinner...he made me baked flounder, baked scalloped potatoes, broccoli/cauliflower mix and salad. Delish! ;D
APs: Walking at lunch if it stops raining...if not, definitely the Firm after work. 8GHG: Yes.

I'm moving!!!Things have been very quiet here at Kippy's for months and months.... I sure miss all my Kippy friends and hope they are doing well. But I have joined Dottie's forum (dwlz.com) and I will begin journaling over there now. I will certainly check back over here from time to time to see if the pace picks up again and everyone comes back! Good luck to all - hope to chat soon!

You certainly will me missed around here!!! You have kept things interesting for a long time. Your journals and posts have been very encouraging to me. I visit Dottie's often, there is a lot of activity over there. I actually joined Dottie's before Kippy's. I have considered journaling in Bootcamp Buddies myself, I am there everyday and have found a lot of great recipes and conversation there. Kippy's is a real friendly place!! Well, I will be looking for ya in Dottie's!!!!!
