I hadn't realized how long it had been since I've posted here. I guess that eventhough so much in our lives ischanging, so much stays the same. We had a good Memeorial day weekend. Wall papered my parent's living room, did a little house work here and I worked yesterday. Food wise, I've done the best I can, when I don't have control of the menu. I'm enjoying my new meeting. DD went with me this week. It's nice to get a different perspective on the same materials. I do miss my friends from the local meeting though. I looks like I can walk to work today, but the rest of the week sounds iffy, weather wise. We'll just have to take it one day at a time Have a great day Katie

How are you, Katie?! I hope you are doing well with everything. I will take some pictures of my place once the new flooring is in,and try to post them... I painted 2 walls of my living room a darker taupe, and the rest of the room (bar area, dining room, and down hallway, and entire ceiling) a lighter tan/beige/almond, whatever you call it. And all the trim a white color, not bright white but you know. It looks really good. Haven't heard about the flooring yet but I did get an estimate for the heat pump but that installation is not scheduled yet either... yeah the joys of homeowning!! Have a great weekend!

Thanks Cathy and Sul for thinking of me. I've been lurking and keeping tabs with everyone, just not posting much. I'm struggling a bit with a bout 10lbs and that makes me crabby, but my mental attitude is getting better and the rest wil follow. We went camping this weekend, just DH and I, we had a nice relaxing time. I snacked more than usual and walked less, but I still feel good. Went for a nice walk when we got home and unpacked. I'm enjoying the Saturday morning meetings and being able to go with DD. I haven't had much of a chance to talk much about core, but the time will come I'm sure. Take care and HIHO Katie

Hi, Katie - glad to hear from you! I feel like it's hard for me to post every day too, busy at work and lots of stuff going on at home...please post when you can just so we know you're OK! You know how it is with internet friends...they come and go but I always worry something happened.
Thanks, my flooring does look great and now that my living room is put back together I will take some pictures (if I remember lol). It is a light floor, the painting came out great too, looks good together. Now on to area rugs, haha, it never ends.
I'm struggling with 2/3 lbs., I want to get them off before vacation but I will just keep on keepin' on, it's all we can do... I love camping and will go in August, glad you had fun on your trip.
Take care and have a good day!

Down 1lb at wi on Saturday, and have made a committment to lose a total of 15lbs. Feels like the right decision. I'm not setting a time limit on it, but will focus on that number. I've been journaling everything I eat including recipes that I'll give to a couple of women at my new meeting. They asked me what I eat on Core after the meeting Sat. They don't know this is my plan, so hopefully it will be a nice surprise for them. If nothing else it's a great way for me to be accountable and honest. Went to see "Ocean's 13" Saturday afternoon. Good movie...George and Brad all in one movie...doesn't get much better than that. (big sigh...lol) Have a great day Katie

Hi Katie -
Way to go on your decision, you will definitely get there. I lost this last 10 pounds when I tracked everything and started weighing my proteins, and I realized I was eating way too much and definitely way over what my target points were. Once I started doing this consistently is when I dropped these final 10 that I had been struggling with. Good luck to you - I know you can do it.
I'll keep you posted on the podiatrist. Although I'm bummed about not wearing all of the cute sandals in my closet, I'm more concerned about what exercising I'll be able to do and I hope I can continue with spinning and/or bike riding. I know walking/running for exercise will be out for now. Maybe I'll take up lap swimming? I never did that before but I'm up for the challenge.
Have a great day!
-Beth

Hi Katie,
I'll join you in that 15 pound loss, hopefully! Yes, that's about how much I've put on in the last couple of months. For now, I'm just trying to get back into healthy eating mode, instead of reaching for chips every time I feel a smidgen of stress. We can do this!

Well, I am up .4, but am figuring that it is partly due to eating breakfast before I went to wi and a few (really not too many)extra points. So I really feel that I maintained. Weekend was pretty stressful, we have a big 4th celebration in our town, and Saturday was the first full day of the Carnival running, brings in lots of interesting people. I had to work to help cover time that others needed off. Also had a wedding Sat night. Food wise not great over the weekend, but plan to be back on track today. Dh bought groceries, and he picks out the best fresh fruit and veggies. Have a great 4th if I don't get back here Katie

Hi Katie,
