Well it is Easter Sunday, not much planned for the day.
B - oatmeal and apple and milk S - fruit L - bean soup and fried polenta S - pudding or yogurt D - stir fry and prawns
So last night I ate my sushi dinner and it was big and very filling. I came home and didn't eat again all night. Now that is unusual. I know that food comforts and settles me down, so I usually have a snack before bed, but I was full and felt full and just didn't want or need any food.
Man, this learning to be full thing is hard. Sometimes I just so look forward to the next interesting meal, whether I am hungry or not.

so for an afternoon snack I had Rye Crisp and a great horseradish spread I made out of tofu. For dinner i ate the prawns, but cold.
Here is what dinner looked like:
Mark Knopfler on the cd player table laid candle on
first course - green beans with red pepper second course - prawns with dip third course - oven baked fries fourth course - the rest of the fries, once they were done
Then an after dinner walk for 15 minutes.
Now it is time for applesauce and yogurt and just before bed a milky drink with my new frother.
That is how to spin out a meal I think.

Hey, Kally -- thanks for visiting my journal! When I eat sushi, I usually go for the nigiri sushi (pieces of fish on a bit of rice) rather than the rolls -- don't know why, I just prefer it. I like tuna, yellowtail, eel, salmon, fluke -- actually, most of it. I'm a bit of a sushi fanatic. As for rolls, I like anything without avocado (allergic), and now, not fried. I'm a purist -- just sushi for me, no bento boxes or anything. It's really my favorite! Hope you enjoyed your meal out the other night!

B - same old, same old - oatmeal L - soup and polenta S - pudding or yogurt D - baked potato and chicken and veggies S - popcorn
I checked my weight this morning after Thursday and I am down half a pound. I shall carry on with Core and just do my best to learn how my body feels.
About sushi Here in Vancouver there is tons of sushi and all very reasonably priced. I usually have a couple of makis and 1 nigiri (but I should get two of those and 1 maki) and miso soup and sometimes barbequed mushrooms. I really love sushi. I think it is like a little taste explosion in my mouth.
You know I was thinking about strong flavours the other day, and realize that sometimes a LITTLE bit of a distinct flavour is what I am after; a little bite of good chocolate, a taste of blue cheese. I want to learn to savour a bite of the really delicious foods.
Have a good Easter Monday all you who have the day off, and everyone working, well hope people you work with are all in good moods.

Kally, I LOVE this! It is exactly what I am thinking...I love to eat interesting foods and get easily bored with the same old food, day after day. I enjoy reading your journal. Ellen

Thanks for visiting Ellen. You know I think I am all about variety. It is very rarely that I am hungry, but I so look forward to this great smorgasbord of food we have in this country.
I mean, there are such delicious choice, I can become delirious just thinking about them all; and they are all healthy, just too many of them.
I mean, avocadoes melt in your mouth, shrimp tickle the tongue, peppery things wake you up, creamy things relax you... i could go on,, but you get the idea.
So what do I want today? It is a question I need to pay more attention to? Sometimes I know I want toast and peanut butter - I am looking for the creaminess and the crispness together. Sometimes I want something fiery and bold.
so in the next hour what DO I want??? I am leaning towards crisp.... as in apple. That sounds good. Will report back later.
Ask yourself... What do YOU want today?

B - oatmeal and banana and milk/coffee S - fruit L - squash soup with Ryvita and butter (points) S - applesauce yogurt and fruit coctail with c. cheese D - tofu fried with vegetables and rice S - milky drink
So last night my skinny dh who eats all the time made some toast with pb and jam. I had a tiny bite and then I NEEDED to fix some for myself.
Now pb is an interesting food. I often want it, I often want the creaminess of it. Core doesn't have much that is very creamy, so pb is a good way to spend the points I think. So I will plan for pb and toast more often. In fact I am now adding it to my evening with my milky drink.
I will try going to the gym later in the evening. It is the evenings that I find I can sit and eat so I will try an 8 oclock time tonight and see how that goes and have pb when I get home if I feel like it.

well the pb and jam toast moved up to my afternoon snack. It was very satifsying.
That is it in a word, satisfying. When I am satisfied i don't have to scrounge aroundt he house for more food to keep me satisfied, but can eat what I really want and be done with it.
At least that's my story and i am sticking to it.
15 minute walk this a.m. and 1/2 hour this pm. No gym cause i am babysitting, but maybe a stroller walk if it is nice.

B - oatmeal and fruit with coffee L - something at the market D - beans and rice with avocado S - applesauce and cottage cheese
I still have over 30 pts left for the week. What i am slowing down with is AP. I have a bit of an ailment tht is making my usual walking a bit difficult, so I need to stay committed to it, even though it is harder.
Today dh and I are going to a riverside town to do a delivery and then will walk inthe sunshine along the river boardwalk and have lunch at the market. Let's see if I can get 40 minutes in on this walk.
Easter choclate had NO appeal for me this year, I didn't eat any, and I didn't particularly want any. Weird, huh?

B - Oatmeal with banana and apple/milk S - fruit L - chicken soup and ry-crisp (points) S - pudding of some kind D - beans and rice and avocado
Maybe i will add a smoothie. I am going to the gym today for 1 hour so I should get about 4 pts.
Gotta find a way to stay more engaged in activities in the evening. One great thing is dh and I are going out practically every night for our "constitutional" our walk around the block which takes 10 - 15 minutes. It is a great habit to break - table to couch.

Coming into the weekend. Got a dinner out tomorrow night and I want to enjoy what they are making, probably chicken, so I will keep the WP to a minimum.
B - oatmeal with baked apple crisp and creme fraiche (cottage cheese)
S - fruit
L - squash soup and bulgur pilaf
S - pudding
D - beans, rice and avocado. I wonder how much avocado I can eat? I usually eat 1/4 because that is one portion, but I wonder if I could get a bit more if I am hungry. Must think about this a bit more.
You know I haven't been sick in a long while, no colds, no flu, etc. I think it has a lot to do with how I am eating. Today I will go for a walk and buy some kale to just eat.

Today we are going out for dinner with friends. I tend to eat more or less what is offered and only one portion of each thing, wth the exception of salad. I will probably have a small dessert too, depends what it is.
So I will eat hearty in the day to make sure I am not starving. These friends usually have appies, and I don't bother with those, too easy to eat too many.
B - polenta and eggs (want a bit more protein at b) S - fruit L - salad, soup S - pudding D - out with friends
I want to get a walk in today too. I am averaging 40 minutes a day or I am at the gym.
I can't work out what a gym workout is worth. if anyone has any ideas, let me know.
Usually 20 - 25 fairly fast on the treadmill 1 round of weights 1 round of crunches and stretches.
Usually takes me about 1 hour.
So, have a good day everyone.

Hit the scales with great trepidation, but I was down 2 lbs. There is no way I can tell, I could have been up 3 lbs just the same.
Apart from bingeing, is there any way you can tell before you step on the scales.'
I have been eating a lot of vegetarian food lately, just kinda works out for me.
B - oatmeal and apple and milk S - fruit L - curried lentils and bulgur and fruit over polenta S - popcorn, grapes and a little ff ice cream stick D - fish, potatoes, beans, beets S - smoothie
It is getting easier and easier to find clothes that just kinda fit off the rack. I am not small, by any means, but getting slimmer and appearing taller every day.
