I bought a can of whipped cream last week. I looked at the NI on a can of whipped cream while I was at Whole Foods and a 2 tablespoon portion is 15 calories, about the same as Cool Whip LIght. But now I have something made not entirely of chemicals.

I've read that well-chilled evaporated skim milk can be whipped and used as a topping. Can't remember where I read it - maybe a Jane Brody book

I had to make a dessert the other weekend that needed heavy cream. 2 Tbsp. of heavy cream goes a LONG way, is healthier than cool whip, and it tastes better! Needless to say, when I want whipped topping now, I splurge for the real stuff, costing me at most 1 pt.

I use Reddi-Wip, too. When you count the calories, it really isn't much at all. It's those long chemical names on the Cool-Whip container that have me scared.

One more piece of evidence of what "food snobs" we are.
