Cream of Mushroom soup
1 + 1/2 cups evaporated fat free milk butter flavored cooking spray seasonings of choice 1/2 cup of canned sliced mushrooms 1 + 1/2 TBSP corn starch mixed with 3 ounces water
Pour milk into saucepan sprayed with butter flavored cooking spray.
Add mushrooms and any other seasonings you like. Mix well.
Take off heat add cornstarch mixture
Bring to boil stirring constantly for one minute.
This can be used in any recipe that calls for a can of crm mush soup.
Here is another one:
2 cups Nonfat dried milk 3/4 cup cornstarch 1/4 cup chicken builon 1/2 tsp thyme and basil 1/4 tsp pepper
Combine all in an airtight container.
When ready to use mix 1/3 cup dry mix and 1 + 1/4 cup water cook in saucepan until thick. Also can be used in any recipe that calls for one can of cream of whatever soup
**Either one can be made Core by using Arrowroot in place of the cornstarch. However it says in one of my cookbooks that Arrowroot loses it's thickening properties when cooked for long periods of time. Since I use these in my crockpot I just use the cornstarch to be safe**
