I love couscous. Didn't even try it until we started core.
One of my fav ideas is grilled chicken and some frozen veggies.

I like to put curry powder in the broth when I cook my couscous. But I like to put curry powder in most everything

Believe it or not, I tried it on my family with a little milk, splenda and FF margarine. Even my kids loved it!

I love adding the seasonings of the meat or "main dish" to the couscous -- be it curry or creole or blackened seasonings. I also always try to cook it in broth to add more flavor.
Cut up onion and celery make a wonderful addition to add to the boiling water. It adds flavor and texture right to the cous cous.
I've also added the small salad shrimp to the boiling water. Tasty!

I love to grill up a salmon fillet, and flake it up. I then saute some fresh veggies with garlic and onion. I add cooked couscous to the pan with the veggies, then the salmon and some soy sauce and spices. I mix it all up and simmer for a few minutes to warm, then put it all in a bowl. YUM! JB

I load up the broth with all kinds of spices while it's cooking, when it's done add a can of diced tomatos (drained).

I like to cook it with veggi broth. Then when done, I mix in chopped olives, chopped bell peppers (red, yellow, orange, and green), whole olives (yes we love olives), and FF feta (or I use points for regular). It's great warm, or cool.

Here's something to try: I added a little bit of lime juice to my water when I made couscous last night. Was pretty good! Just don't add too much, though!

i made a yummy chicken soup a couple of days ago so tonight to jazz it up, once it started to boil, I threw in a cup of couscous, and took it off the flame to sit for ~7 minutes--- Now I have two more delicious, EASY days of chicken-couscous "casserole".
Is anyone out there (besides me!) into Rachael Ray 30-minute meals. She has many recipes that can be core converted AND she is very into cook once for two meals. This soup to casserole fits that bill.

Hi! New to CORE, just started today.
I like mine with just soy sauce, but these ideas are GREAT!
How does it do in a soup? Like instead of potatoes in chicken stew, what do you think about couscous?
