When you go into your profile to modify it to add something, you are now going to need to enter your password.
If you have forgotten your password, log out, and then click login. Click on the link that says forgot your password? Your password will be sent to the email address you used when you signed up.
Just as during registration, be sure to check the SPAMBLOCKER or SPAMCATCHER portion of your email to retrieve your password.
I just found this out through Proboards support, as follows:
Dear ProBoards Members,
Recently we implemented a change to the Modify Profile page which you may have noticed and come here to comment on. Some have questioned our motives in implementing this additional security feature and questioned whether or not it was even necessary.
Let me first start off by saying that this is a necessary security upgrade. We have found some malicious users who have been sending links to members, and when these links are followed a page loads which auto-submits a form back to your board changing the admin password. By requiring that you type in your password when modifying your profile we prevent such malicious attacks from occuring.
We hope you understand the need for this additional security to protect your forums and consider the measures that we have taken to be appropriate. If you have any further concerns regarding this change please feel free to post here in this thread.

Hi, I just signed on here and got a password. I thought it said I could change it and I would like to change it to something I can remember but not sure how to do it. Can someone lead me in the right direction. Thanks, MissRI (Nita)

use the password you were assigned to get into your personal profile (link at very top of page). There you can change the password to your own choice.
