Is there a recipe for Core Whipped Topping? I would like to make the crustless pumpkin pie and have that on top. I know that I could just get the ff cool whip, but I will pile too much on and go overboard. ;D

Frothed milk is a really great alternative. Kippy has a "recipe" for that on her other site.
You can also use tofu. I've not tried this, but this came with a recipe on the WW site:
8 oz soft tofu, pressed to remove as much water as possible 1/8 cup McNeil Nutritionals SPLENDA (R) No Calorie Sweetener 1 tsp vanilla extract 1/8 tsp ground cinnamon
Place tofu in bowl of food processor and process until smooth, about 3 minutes. Add Splenda, vanilla and cinnamon and blend until smooth, about 3 to 5 minutes. To serve, top 1/2 cup of fruit with 1/4 cup of whipped topping.

I don't have a frother, I've been looking for one. I don't feel comfortable using Tofu (it's totally not my thing). How much do frothers run?

I don't know who posted this recipe on the WW board and I've never tried it, but it might be what you're looking for.
HEALTHY "COOL WHIP"
5oz can evaporated milk 2 tbsp cold water 1 tsp unflavored gelatin 2 tbsp sugar (Splenda) 3 tbsp canola oil
First, you need to get the milk to a cold enough temperature to whip. This is easiest done by pouring it into a shallow tray, bowl, or ice cube trays and placing in the freezer until you see crystals begin to form around the edges.
While the milk is chilling, combine the gelatin and water in a dish, without stirring. Place the dish in a small saucepan or dish containing hot water and let stand until the gelatin dissolves - about 5 minutes. Remove dish from the hot water, stir the gelatin and allow to cool.
Beat the milk in a medium size bowl until stiff peaks form. Gradually add the sugar, oil, and then gelatin mixture. Continue beating until stiff peaks form again. Cover and place in freezer for 10 minutes, then transfer to refrigerator. The mixture will become very stiff.
Before serving, stir to soften. Will keep 3 days covered inrefrigerator.

Hi. This is my first time posting. I've been on Flex since Jan 2004 and I'm just starting Core. I have a frother called Froth Au Lait that costs about $39. It froths and heats. Not cheap, but a bargain since I'm not buying fancy coffees anymore. Try going to frothaulait.com for a look at it. I use skim milk and add a packet of splenda and a splash of vanilla. I pour that into fresh, hot, strong coffee and top it with a sprinkle of cinnamon. I use fresh beans that I grind myself. Caffeinated in the morning and decaf in the afternoon or evening. It would be great for toppings as well. I haven't actually used it that way yet!

Check out Kippy's shop (you can get to it throught the main board here). She has a link to a frother that is only about $8.00. I ordered it but it will be another week or so before I see it. There is a long lead time for that item.

Don't count on keeping the frothed milk any time at all because it doesn't take long for it to go back to its liquid form again.

Aerolatte at bed, bath and beyond. Costs about $20.00, works great for whipped milk for cappucinos, etc. To make a smoothie I use a blender stick.

I have a Bammix that I got at one of the fairs. Makes whipped cream out of skim milk. I love it. A bit pricey but for me worth it.

Marcia - Have you tried using regular skim milk with the flat "beaters" in the MB? I have had success with this in the past.

Check Dollar Tree if you have one near you. People have reported finding frothers there that work well, and they cost only $1. The ones around me in Maine don't have it, but they're all small ones. So if you have a big one, it would be worth checking into!
