I got this off the Bob's Red Mill bulgar package. I could have sworn I saw a recipe like this somewhere but I can't find it now. Forgive me if this is duplicated, but it came out really delicious - my new favorite grain!
Bulgur Pilaf
2 Tbsp olive oil 1/2 lb. sliced mushrooms 1/2 cup chopped green onions 1/2 tsp. salt 1 cup Bulgur 2 cups water
Saute onions and mushrooms in olive oil until brown. Stir in bulgur and salt, then stir for about a minute. Add water and bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Cover and place in 350 degree oven for 20-25 minutes.

Rita, I just wanted to let you know I tried this recipe for supper tonight. Delicious!!. I don't like mushrooms, so I omitted them. I used chicken broth instead of water, baked it in the oven as written. What a great taste. Thanks.

I tried this tonight. I used beef broth instead of water. I liked ti alot, but DH said he thought it was missing something. I'm thinking it may have needed some spices (He only likes highly seasoned meals).
Any ideas?

I tried this last night, and it was delicious! I also made it with broth. It was a wonderful introduction to bulgur.
