I thought my third core weigh in was going to be great. I had a very good week and felt I should have had a very good loss. Well, not only did I not lose I gained 1.8 pounds!!!! Why does that happen just to knock the wind out of my sails. TOM is not an option for me so I can't blame it on that. At my meeting I was told it could be possible I am not eating enough! Is that possible? Not by choice, the last two days I have eaten very light. I have been busy and when I finally thought about dinner, it was pretty late. So I felt it was a better choice to eat some popcorn or not at all to keep from eating too much too late. I really want to keep going, I am just so tired of losing the same pounds over and over again.

I totally understand how frustrating it is when you have a gain and you feel you've been on track. But... there are definitely ups that go with the downs in any weight loss journey.
I have a couple of thoughts for you. First I think you lost A LOT of weight your first two weeks so your body is probably equalizing that tremendous shock to its system. Second, sometime eating less can but the ole bod into a starvation mindset and it will hold onto stuff so you won't perish. And third, I know other folks here have actually talked about avoiding salty snacks, i.e. popcorn, for a day or two before weigh in as these things tend to cause water retention.
In any case... You are doing GREAT!! You will probably have a loss next week. This plan does work (even tho' i have to psych myself up too when I don't lose or don't lost what I wish I had or have a gain, as I did this week too)
One "bad" week does not a disaster make! HANG IN THERE, shoregirl!!

Not seeing the scale move in the direction that you expect and hope for is so disappointing, particularly when you are sticking with your program. Just don't forget that when we step on the scale, we are weighing more than just the fat. There is no way of knowing, without measuring body fat, what the gain in total weight is from. It could be fluid whether it is your TOM or not!
Hang in there!!! You are doing great!
Best of luck this next week with Core!

Thank you Sulee & Veggielove! You guys are so sweet and encouraging. As depressed as I was today, I still managed to stay core! I keep telling myself, "what other choice do you have?" This is the best choice for me and I am moving forward! Thanks!!
