Hello My name is Cindy. I have always done the flex but lately have lost all motivation to do it. I went back to my meeting today and they were talking about the Core a great deal. I left the meeting thinking I will try the Core. SO today I went to the grocery and bought all new products. Mostly produce. If anyone has any suggestions I would love it.

Hi Cindy!
I am a newbie, too! I just started back this week, and like you, I have done WW before but not the core plan. I wish you the best of luck! I look forward to reading new posting from you about all of your weight loss success!

Hi Cindy, I'm a newbie here, too. Was doing flex for the past year or so. Lost 26 lbs but am having trouble with the last 6 or so pounds. I thought it might help to mix things up with core. I'm liking it so far. Kaydee

One suggestions is the CORE Kickstart. It's in your KICKSTART book you got week one. YOu jsut eat from the list and eat exactly what it says. You still ahve35 points for things not ont he list. YOu can do that for 2 weeks in a row.
That might be a great way to shed those last few pounds!

Some suggestions... Eat until you are satisfied, not until you are full. This might be a bigger serving than you are used to on flex, but make sure you don't go overboard. I would take the serving you would normally have if you were still on flex. When you are done eating and still think you are hungry, wait 10 minutes or so. After 10 minutes, if you are still hungry have a little more. If not, don't eat any more. Check out the recipes on this board and on the internet. I do a search on the internet for "WW Core Recipes" or "Core Recipes". You will find a ton of them. Try new recipes to keep your eating exciting. You won't get bored with it if you do this. Try new things, such as whole grains. I have found I love quinoa. This is a good substitute for rice, but I can have it as many times a day as I want. With brown rice, potatos(any kind) and whole wheat pasta, you are only allowed one of them per day. If you have more than one a day, you have to count points for it. So if you have brown rice for lunch and want to have a potato for dinner, you will need to count the points for one of them. With quinoa, bulgar, barley, wheatberries and other whole grains, you can have them as often as you like. Try new vegetables. I was never a vegetable eater, but I have tried, and liked vegetables that I wouldn't touch before. On the other hand, I have also found that I didn't like some of them that I tried. Make sure you get in all your milk, water, oil, fruit&veges and vitamin. Healthy oil can be added to smoothies, 94%ff popcorn, ff salad dressing, or used to saute vegetables. I've heard of some people adding it to their oatmeal. If your frying an egg, instead of pam, use your healthy oil. The healthy oils are important. You may think that you will lose more weight without them, but that is not true. You need the healthy oils. The good part about core is you don't have to use any of your 35 WPA for your healthy oil(unless you use more than 2 tsp), milk, fruit, or vegatables. When I did flex I hated spending my points on milk, oil, fruits, etc. I wanted to use them for things I wanted to eat. With core, you don't have to use points on the things ww says you need.
