Hi all, I am new to this board and new to Core program, I have been on the flex program for about 2 years and am a lifetime member. I have lost 55 lbs!! But to change it up a bit, I am interested in trying the core for a little bit. I have a few questions: Ok I see that in the new books I just got this weekend, that you are allowed one per day of cereal, ww pasta, rice etc.. ok so just so I am correct, if I had cereal in the morning then I can't have any pasta for dinner? Also they have cold cereal but don't list what kind so am I to assume any kind of cold cereal is ok to eat? And what about tomato sauce? it's not listed so what do I top my ww pasta w lol? thanks for all your help looking forward to talking to you all

You can have cold cereal once per day if you eat it with ff milk or ff yogurt. It must be a whole grain cereal without added sugar, nuts, or dried fruit. You may have ww pasta, potatoes, or brown rice once per day. So, if you eat a baked potato for lunch, you will have to count points if you eat potatoes with dinner. You could still have brown rice or ww pasta. Canned tomato sauce or spaghetti sauces are not core. If you make your own from Core ingredients, then it is Core. Hope that helps.

I was just checking my eat wisely book, and tomato sauce is core, or 1/2 C 0 pts. Page101 Katie

The information above doesn't seem correct (at least the way I am reading it). The once-per-day rules are all separate, but the potato-ww pasta-br rice rule includes all three as a once a day item.
You can have core cold cereal with skim milk or plain nonfat yogurt for breakfast and a potato for lunch. Then, you could have sweet or white potato, whole-wheat pasta, or brown rice for dinner, but you would need to count points. If you did not want to count points, you could have polenta, whole-wheat couscous, barley, bulgur, or any other non-limited whole grain for dinner.
The cold cereal list is fairly limited: puffed grains and whole grain cereals without added sugar, dried fruit, or nuts.
