Hi,
I just wanted to introduce myself. In June of 2000 I walked into WW and weighed in at 188.4, over the following 20 months I lost almost 60 pounds and got down to 130. Due to personal realizations I gained it all back and with the help of therapy I realized that being fat wasn't my problem, my head was my problem, so after three years of therapy, I am ready to try again. I just had a baby in December of last year and she is the light of my life.
I am doing Core this time because I was WAY to obsessive about WW the first time and I like that I can just eat and since sugar and white flour aren't part of the free Core foods, I don't find myself trying to find ways to fit in more treats instead of real food in my daily choices. Which is what I did on the points program. "How many treats can I eat and still lose weight?" Was my previous motto. Today is my third day, and I am doing pretty well, I think. I just take it one day at time, today I will stay on program, tomorrow, who knows. But I do know that I want to lead the best example for my dd as far as eating goes, and how can I expect her to have healthy habits if I don't myself. So, my goal is to treat my body as well as I treat hers.
Okay, so if you made it this far, here is my CORE question. Is 100% fruit spread, with just fruit in it, CORE? I use 1 tbsp a day in my FF NF plain yogurt. I haven't been counting it, but could if I needed to. My mind says "no, not core" but it only has fruit and pectin in it, so I don't know.
thanks so much. I look forward to getting to know all of you. I have read the FAQ page and I know what "not CORE" ;-) I love that Kippy has made that newbie page, it was really helpful. My leader directed me to this site. I am so happy to have found it.
