What are your Thanksgiving plans? Not what are you going to eat, but where are you going, what will you do. Do you have to work? Our store is closed that day, and we will be going to my parents farm for noon dinner. I am the middle child of 5 kids, and there are now 21 of us. Some won't be able to come because of work schedules so I don't know how many for sure this year, but we always have a good time. Our sons probably won't be home, one for sure can't come home. He is a restaurant cook and has to work. The other lives 350 miles away and is currently unemployed so lack of money will keep him from comming home.

Good question. Well, usually we go to DH's aunt's house, but this year we were invited to my aunt and uncle's house (my father's brother). I am an only child, and my dad won't go unless I go (he won't drive far and at night). So I really want to go with my family, but DH, of course, wants to be with his family. So right now it's up in the air what we're going to do. We might actually spend it apart this year and I won't be happy about it. I didn't want to have to put my foot down and make him come with me, but it's looking like I might have to. And then, of course, MIL won't be happy.
I think next year maybe we'll just go to Florida and spend it with my mom. That way I don't have to make any decisions.

It's so hard trying to figure out whose family you are going to spend a holiday with. DH's parents live in Florida and we haven't seen them in 10 years. We can't afford to go there and they can't afford to come here so we just visit on the phone every once in a while. My parents live only 3 miles away. So we see them often. I hope all works out ok and you have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

hmmm, thanksgiving may not be so much about food this year as it will be about getting my new house ready to move in to. We will be moving the day after! My brother is working that day and my mom said she would "toss a turkey in the oven" in the morning. But at least we'll earn AP's cleaning the whole house before dinner!
happy turkey day everyone!!!
