MC friends! I'm so excited today. I just earned my President's Challenge Gold Medal, AND when I peeked on the scale this morning, it indicated a 1.5 lb loss from last Sunday morning's official WI. I am hoping this new number holds until tomorrow. Cross your fingers for me, 'kay?
Cynthia, I am not sure about the whole ticker thing. I would be happy to help you get one of those weight loss blinkies into your signature, but you'd have to tell me your password (if you want, you could change it to something you tell me and then change it back after I do the modification. . . . .). Let me know if you want me to help with that.

Pookie helped me out with the ticker. Yeah Pookie!
Hippo: Congrats on winning the GOLD! That is great. ;D I know that means you did a ton of work to get there. I was working on my bronze for a long time but finally stopped entering the points.
Thanks for the offer on the blinkie but I am going to try and learn how to do this stuff by myself (and with the help of my wife). I will definitely give you a cry for help if we can't figure it out. Your the best!

Sometimes my siggy stuff doesn't show up. If I log out, turn off the computer, and then log back on, it comes back. Dunno why.

Cynthia, your new ticker looks great!
Hippo, congrats on your medal! I was doing the Presidential Challenge last summer and then tapered off. Now I am trying to be more consistent about exercise. One day at a time.
At my WW meetings, we have just finished a three-week series partnered with the American Cancer Society; many cancers can be prevented by eating healthy, exercising regularly, and maintaining a healthy weight. Even though I lost this weight for my health, I needed this important reminder.
I also read that women who are at a healthy weight, but who do NOT exercise, can still have that subcutaneous belly fat which is so dangerous and can lead to heart attack, stroke, etc. It may not show, but it is there. All I need to do is walk a few times a week; why am I having such a hard time with this?

Well said XOXO. It is all about having a healthy quality life. I am always so grateful that I am blessed with good health for myself and my loved ones.
On a different subject: Posted some old photos of myself on the Before & After board. I will try and get some current shots up in the next few days. Maybe is should be called the Before & After & Before & After board!

love the new picture in your signature. The old one was nice, but this one you can really see you and Max. You have such a great attitude going into maintenance, I know you will handle this really well. Katie

YAY, HM!!!! Great job! ;D
Xena, I love your new pic too. I will check out the Before & After board.
Xoxo - your attitude is great. You know what you have to do regarding exercise, the nice weather is on its way as an incentive (in addition to your comments on good health) ... you can do this.

Oh I gained. So sad. Does this mean I am no longer making goal or do I get six weeks to do the lifetime?
My life...my rules?

Okay, first of all, that's totally normal, Cynthia. The job in the first 6 weeks after hitting goal is to find the point-usage-level at which your weight will stabilize. You haven't done anything wrong. This is part of that process, and nothing more than that. So, are you now 2 lbs or more over goal? If not, no worries. Continue with the points you used last week. If you're 2 lbs or more over goal, shave off a few (maybe 7 or 10) and see what happens at next WI (do not have to go back to 35 WPA or weight loss mode). When you get the results from your next WI, you'll be closer to knowing how many pts you can maintain this weight with (sorry for the bad grammar). Do not panic! And I also love your new photo!

Hippo you are like a maintenace goddess...the voice of calm...in a stormy sea. Thank you for your sage words. I will do just that.
It will be okay.....it will be okay.
PS: Glad you like the photo!
