Next month, I'll be spending a couple of weeks with my parents, who are not vegetarians.
We always seem to have trouble this time of year because they love to barbecue and don't understand that grilled veggies and salads with no meat iare fine with me.
I've been thinking if I threw a Bocca or Gardenburger on the barbie (as they say), maybe that would placate them.
I've never tried grilling a veggie burger. Has anyone?

Glad to hear it. I think I'll try them at home first. It's too hot here today, though, to fire the grill. Thanks for letting me know.

Yeah, yum! Just don't ever try it with a veggie hot dog.
Boca creates a more "meaty" tasting burger, while Gardenburgers are crispier and more veggie tasting. I like them both.
Another yummy substitute: portibello mushrooms. You can marinate them for a short time beforehand (not too long, cause they are very absorbent). They are fantastic on the grill!

I have to correct my earlier statement. Someone recently barbecued veggie dogs and they were yummy. NOT core, but yummy.
