I made the WW soup and still don't like it. Not 100% sure what it is that I don't like... carrot? mixture of the vegetables? Dunno. I like cabbage so .. again, not sure what it is.
Did anyone else find the usual soup to be ick? What'd you make instead?
I'm trying to find soups for the approved snacks.

The WW soup for refresher: 2/3 cup sliced carrots 1/2 cup diced onions 2 cloves garlic, minced 3 cups fat free broth (beef, chicken or vegetable) 1 1/2 cups diced green cabbage 1/2 cup green beans 1 tablespoon tomato paste 1/2 teaspoon dried basil 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/2 cup diced zucchini

Hi Ana,
I'm kind of fussy about the broths that are the basis for soups. I often use chicken broth in veggie soup as the veggie broth doesn't quite make it for me there, but it's fine in the lentil soups i make... go figure. But if you're a vegetarian or vegan that suggestion won't work at all!!
But other than that, i would keep experimenting with veggies you really enjoy...maybe just cabbage, onion and garlic (that sounds great to me.) I'll bet you'll make some real winners!
Then check the section here for soups, stews and chili's. There are a number of lovely soups, with squashes and carrots and oranges and other produce that would fit the snack bill, i think.

For me it would be the green beans in the soup. I love green beans, but never care for them in soup. Also it could be the combination of the spices. Basil and oregano sometimes bother my taste buds. Katie

I love the WW veggie soup, personally. But cabbage is a pain to chop up...but I love it. That said, there are LOTS of great soups that I have found on this board and also the WW core board, you can search it. The other day I made up a soup with stuff I had in the house, I could post it where it belongs (I will do that), but I will put it here too: 1 can plain pumpkin 29 oz. Shop Rite brand or you could use 2 15 oz. can Libby's 1 can fat free chicken broth, 3 cups water 1 sweet potato, peeled and cubed 1 zucchini, not peeled but cubed handful baby carrots, cut up a little 1 can black beans, drained 2 stacks of celery, chopped 1 shallot chopped some Mrs. Dash for seasoning, regular and chipolte Mix all together in a soup pot, brought to a boil then simmered until the veggies were soft! It was sooooo good!
