up?
Sometimes I don't want any food for the first two hours, but that comes from eating quite late at night. How do any of you handle the body signals in the morning to eat, to wait, etc.?

Hey Kally: I've always been a night eater and follow my mother's pattern of eating nothing (or very little) during the day and the entire cupboard at night. I'm sure that's part of the reason I'm here. I've been trying hard to change that, but I am still feeling full when I wake up sometimes. One thing that's helped me is to make sure I only eat fruit and/or veggies later at night. Also, I know I need to stave off starvation and give my metabolism a jump start with breakfast, but I allow my stomach a half-hour of wake-up time as a compromise.

If I am hungry before bed, I try to eat as little as possible to curb the hunger, often a cup of hot milk will do the trick. I love being hungry for breakfast For the times I may not be hungry at breakfast , sometimes just a bite of something or the aroma of cooking food will get me hungry. It's like I have to wake up my hunger.

I'm like Pookie, in that my appetite needs to wake up just like I do. I get up, fix DH's lunch box, make coffee and have a cup or 2 before having breakfast. I'm not hungry when I first wake up, but know I need to eat.

I'm the odd one out here. Unless I've really overeaten at night, I'm starving in the morning. It's good because the lure of breakfast gets me out of the shower...

I'm always hungry when I wake up. Unless I've stuffed myself the night before, and then I wake up....starving. It's really odd.
But either way, I eat. A Core breakfast has become a signal that today can be a good Core day.

I like to drink 16 oz of water when I first get up, and then a perfect cup of black coffee. By the time I've done that, I am usually starving (guess those liquids aren't really filling me up somehow!). I am always hungriest in the morning and tend to eat large breakfast, a snack before my early lunch, and don't usually eat after 7:30 in the evening.

I have to eat breakfast. I'm pretty hungry when I wake up but I have to take an iron supplement and that means waiting an hour to eat.

I'm almost always hungry in the morning. The only time I'm not is when I've eaten a really high-fat meal for dinner.
My mother is a lot like nightsinge's: she always skips breakfast and eats very little for lunch. She thinks 2 chicken thighs is a huge meal. I don't know how I got into the habit of wanting to eat breakfast in the morning, but I'm glad I did because I know how important it is. However, when I look at my size 2 mother, something I wonder if she knows something I, and every nutritionist out there, don't.

I'm never hungry when I first wake up, so breakfast for me is around 10am except for the days I have to go to work. Then I'll bring a WW Chocolate Smootie with some fruit tossed in.
I also found that if I eat a big breakfast, I'm not as hungry all through the day. If I should skip breakfast, my hunger seem uncontrollable.
