another of our favorite family movies is Goonies. My kids ages 19 to 25 have whole conversations based on the dialog of this movie.

Tina, I love Charade! Cary Grant is one of my favorites, as well. Also up there of his are Houseboat and Father Goose. Those are ones I can watch endlessly. And Katelight, I have to agree about Goonies, too. My younger sister watched that movie every day, sometimes twice for about two years. Let's just say I took a break from it for about ten years. But we introduced our youngest sister to it last year, and that's one of our favorite movies to watch together as a family.

I loved the new movie: "Beyond the Sea" story of Bobby Darins life. Spacy did a great job on this. I understand he was trying to get someone to do this for years. No one would so he did it himself. He even did the singing. I did't know Kevin Spacy could sing. He is very talented. If you are an oldie and liked Bobby Darin you will love this movie. Everything about his life in this movie is true. You will be surprised with some of it. I won't tell you so I won't ruin the movie for you if you do decide to watch it.
Someone mentioned Sandra Dee earlier that made me think of this movie.

Spellbound (Hitchcock's finest, IMHO, and probably my all-time fave movie)
Vertigo (another fun suspenseful Hitchcock film)
Annie Hall (favorite comedy)
Manhattan (sentimental favorite from high school)
anything with Katharine Hepburn (no need to explain)
Thelma & Louise (because it expresses so much about women, violence, freedom, hope, hopelessness)
Monsters, Inc. (fave kids' film)

OH man I just realised Im a nerd I LOVE Hocus Pocus, Sleepy Hollow, and The nightmare before Christmas. These are all my Halloween movies I only watch them at halloween time. Then at Christmas time I watch A Christmas story, and National Lampoons Christmas Vacation.
Our entire family can quote these movies. LOL but lets see I have many other favorite movies Including Oh Brother Where art thou.
