At WI last night, I lost 1.8# and hit my 10% target! I still can't believe that even after 11 weeks on Core, I lost 1.8# in one week ... especially considering that I had a total of about 27 pounds to lose when I started.
Now, I have to set my goal weight because losing my 10% put me into my weight range. I think I'm going to pick a weight on the higher end of my range, but will continue to lose until I reach my personal goal. Several posts on the WW bulletin board suggested doing this to reach goal and Lifetime sooner.
Question ... how does it work if I still continue to lose after I've reached my goal? Will my leader suspect that I only chose a higher goal just to attend free meetings sooner? I mean, once I reach goal, won't she give me info on maintenance and assume that I'll be maintaining, rather than losing? If anyone's done this, I'd love to hear from you. I'm just undecided ...

As long as you are in their range (or have a note from your doctor - like I did) it is fine to pick the higher end. What you choose to do after that is completely up to you. You can lose more, or maintain for a while and see how it feels. Hope that helps. Congratulations on your 10%...that wonderful!

Congratulations!!
WW doesn't care if you lose more after reaching goal as long as it's intentional. Many people choose their goal at the top of their range, as I did. I lost 7 pounds beyond goal which gives me a good amount of wiggle room.

My leader tells everyone to choose the highest goal weight they can just so they do not have to pay for meetings anymore, and she has all of us who are coming for free stand up each meeting, and about 1/3 to 1/2 of us stand up. And......CONGRATULATIONS, HOPE YOU ENJOY THAT KEY RING.

Woohoo!! Congratulations!!
Most people have personal goals once they meet their WW goal. As long as you stay within their range they don't care.
