Wed 8/3
Still sick with a cold so nothing tastes good except chocolate. ;D I know that's bad but I could not resist some comfort food since I feel so yucky. I did not WO last night but went to bed early to try and kick this illness. Well it did not work but it was best that I went to bed early since both kids woke me up in the middle of the night for different things. So I am sleeeeeply!
So far today:
B: sf ff latte, shredded wheat w/ sliced banana and ff sf starwberry yogurt.
Planned:
L: left over pad thai with chicken
S: peach and 94% ff popcorn
D: Need to think about this. It's really hot outside but I am sick. We may end up having soup and salad or head out for dinner. Let it be Paulie's decision.

Tues 8/9 Still sick. This illness is throwing me totally off. I have no self control and no guilt. I am just eating anything that remotely tastes good. I stopped taking the drugs since they were only making me loopy. As long as I don't talk I am fine. I don't cough. The temp is really hot today. Took Max to camp and thank goodness it was mostly spent in the shade. Poor Max he was so hot and he hates water. But he finally drank some. I am going to try and WO tonight. I figure it can't make me feel any worst and then I can at least write off some of the chocolate brownie I ate earlier. ![:-/](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/undecided.png) So far today: B: Bread L: veggie couscous, left over tuna salad and 1 chocolate brownie, Diet coke S: sliced banana & ff cottage cheese D: I am at a loss. Can't decide what to make since it is so hot outside.

Pammy, I hope you are feeling better! Be kind to yourself until you are healthy again. It sounds like you are making healthy choices for the most part, despite being sick.

Mon 8/22
I'm back from vacation and feeling huge. I had a wonderful time but I may be paying the price for my food choices this week. But I do feel great. I have a fitness goal as well and trying to stay on track. I am not sure if I mentioned it before but I am now posting the the Presidents challenge website for my physical activities in addition to here.
My fitness goal is to at least walk 5-6 days a week before bed. I walk about 4 miles. This week it will be the straight 4 miles. Then each week after I will either increase speed, time or incline. I am also planning on going to the gym twice a week for either a run or swim for an extra push and to also add some variety. I have been reading while I walk but I will need to find a new GOOD book to start soon.
So far today I have had:
Breakfast 1 banana 1 lg ff sf latte 2 crackers
Lunch: 1 baked potato w/ ff sour cream and salsa
I am working on my water since I did not keep up with it while I was on vacation. The hardest thing I will be trying to overcome this week will be to rid myself of my sugar craving. It usually takes a few days. Tomorrow I have a bris and I know there will be lots of sweets. My goal there is to simply eat only fruit. I and going to have a bag of 94% ff popcorn before the event to try and curb my cravings by being so full.

Thurs 8/25
I have been off the last few days taking care of the kids at home. I have not been the best but I have gotten a lot of exercise so I hope that will make everything balance out.
So far today I have had:
Oatmeal w/ splenda, sf ff latte, and some fruit.
I need to work on my water intake. I always do better at work since it is easier to get to the bathroom than with two little tykes. For lunch I have left overs. Flank steak, veggies, some cottage cheese and fruit. I was thinking of making eggplant parmesan and salad for dinner tonight.
I have also been keeping with my mini goal of walking 4 miles every day so far this week. I took the kids to the library yesterday and got a book on tape/cd. I am going to try and down load it to my mp3 player to use while walking. I have been reading while I walk thus far but I either need books with large print or something else. It is a bit of a strain on my eyes when I pick up the speed.

Mon 8/29
Finally back at work with my normal schedule. I missed journaling and being on line. Don't get me wrong...I love my kids and a great two weeks off but being back in an old routine is comforting. I pretty much maintained while I was gone. At most I am up 1-2 lbs but then again it is the week before my TOM. I have been planning on going back completely to WW this next week and get back on track. It will be interesting when I go to the meeting if I am up or down from my last WI a few months ago.
I started reading over the paperwork I have from them. I saved the basics so I could always refer back if needed. I realised that even though I am eatting core food I am not necessarly eatting until satisfied. I generally eat everything on my plate. It is hard for me to leave food. But this morning I did not finish my breakfast and tossed what I did not eat. I also brought a smaller portion for lunch and did not stop for my latte. I am still exercising in the evening (walking) and going to the gym twice a week. I am curious if this will affect my weight loss since
I have been on a plateau for so long. I can not complain though since I have not been diligent with WW core. Since I have been exercising I have been using that as my excuse to eat a bit more.

Tues 8/30
Did pretty good last night but I never got around to walk on the treadmill. Paul worked late and it was a handful getting the kids to go to sleep. By the time it was quiet I was ready to go to bed myself.
I ended up having chicken and veggie couscous for dinner. This morning I had a bowl of cereal and sliced peaches. It's snack time now and I am going to have a plum and some yogurt.
Lunch: left over cous cous and some edamame.
Snack time will be popcorn and a diet coke.
Dinner is going to be chicken soup with matzo balls and Tuna salad.
I plan on walking tonight to work off the extra points for the matza balls. Everything else is core.
I will say I do feel better since Sunday when I got back on the wagon. I even feel skinnier if that is possible. I probably am just losing water right now but it's better than nothing.

Pam - I know what you mean about feeling better. I have also been off track and got back on this weekend. I feel much better, and skinnier also. I have really been pushing the water as well. Tonight I hope to get a walk in, and will try every night from now on.
What is the soup with Matzo balls? It sound really interesting. Is it Core? Thanks and good luck staying on track.

Wed 8/31 I ended up walking 4.25 miles last night. It was so nice to have a breeze coming into the house finally. I think that is why I was able to walk so far. This whole week it is suppose to be a bit cooler and I am loving it. I am excited today. I found on Craigs List some stuff to put into the basement for the kids to play with this winter. I will be going to pick the stuff up today. I hope I can fit it all into my car ![:-/](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/undecided.png) The kids are going to be so happy. It is a little house , teeter totter and a few other things if they are in good shape. It is going to be a haul but I think it will be worth it. Going back to food. Today I have had: B: shredded wheat w/ ff milk and blueberries no snack I had lunch early L: egg salad w/ grape tomatoes. I was still hungrey so I ate some instant oatmeal. And drank more water. S: apple and yogurt D: I am going to pick up a piece of salmon and smoke it on the grill

Tues 9/6
Geez, I thought today was Monday at first. Forgot it was a long weekend. But I am back at work and paying the price for my indulgencies this weekend. We had a wedding 2 BBq's and we hosted and additional 1 BBQ. I brought all the sweets to work this morning for everyone to finish off. Better them than me. ;D
I did over do it with the sweets but I feel good about staying on track for the next two weeks. It's amazing how I seem to have some kind of major event coming up in two week increments. 1st Max's birthday party, family coming into town. Then a bar mitzvah, family coming into town. A major meeting out of town, a convention out of town and then ThanksGiving. I am trying to think of it as two weeks on the wagon and then a day or two off. Hopefully, worse case is I maintain.
It's hard to get back on the wagon. I need to go grocery shopping today. There was no milk this morning so I am off track already.
B: 1 brownie, shredded wheat, sliced banana and ff milk
L: toasted polenta with Marinara and provolone cheese. I think of these as mini pizzas.
S: ff cottage cheese and 1 peach
D: salad w/ chicken and roasted veggies.
