I have always been a vanilla person, I preferred white chocolate over regular to the chagrin of my chocoholic friends.
If you are like me and you get a late night tummy rumble, try this:
mug of hot milk, 1 packet splenda, dash of vanilla and pinch of nutmeg
very satisfying for us vanilla freaks!
I keep forgetting who suggested this to me early on, but thanks again!

Consider me horrified along with your chocohalic friends! White chocolate is horrid!
But the milk sounds good...

That's wonderful!
When my friend owned a coffee shop, I'd go and order steamers. This is just like that.
Now to find a frother...

I do the same vanilla trick with my milk, on the days I'm feeling not-so-chocolatey.
Nice and calming before heading to bed.

Sometimes (when I can afford it) I like to add the inside of a real vanilla bean to my milk and splenda. But you have to be careful because a little goes a very long way. If you use too much, it ruins the flavor. (Is vanilla bean Core?) Also freshly ground nutmeg is good too.

Oh Pookie - what a great idea! ;D I was tempted not to read this because I assumed it was a chocolate concoction and I don't like chocolate.
I'll have to try this tonight. My husband brought home some high quality vanilla extract and I've been looking for a core treat to make with it. This sounds perfect!

OMG Tina, you don't like chocolate? Make an appointment with the Dr. soon. I think there is something wrong with your taste buds. LOL. Only joking.

I've been making this vanilla night time drink since (don't faint) 1969 with the brand new Jean Nidietch Weight Watchers Program. We called it Night Time Toddy. We would use a whipper to froth it. We didn't have the fancy gadgets in those days. I always saved one milk (we were allowed 2 per day) for this 'Toddy'. I still make it and love it. We were not allowed any chocolate in those days with the exception of chocolate extract. Hard to believe, but I lost 52 lbs. on that first WW program.

I'm going to have to give this a try. What I've been doing for a sweet-type milk drink is adding some sugar-free vanilla or chocolate syrup (like you would use to make mochas or lattes) to a glass of milk, warm or cold. Sure takes care of a sweet craving.

Has anyone tried using the WW smoothies to flavor warm milk, tea, or coffee? If so, do you use a whole package or just a spoonful or two? I've been hesitant to try it, but it seems like it should work. Please let me know!
