I just spent my Christmas present - Amazon gift certificate. I'm glad to run it through here - good idea, Kippy!

Kippy - I'm heading off to buy some things on Amazon. These are things I needed anyway and I figured you might as well get a nickel on the dollar for it. It's my way of saying [glow=red,2,300]thank you![/glow]

I bought French Women Don't Get Fat. It is being delivered today. Regrettably, it's only 65 cents for you. I assume they don't cut you in on the shipping and handling, where they probably make their money.

I'd like someone to recommend a great slow cooker. Mine is too small and I just can't pick

Kippy, I'm glad I read this post before shopping at Amazon today! Bought myself a couple of books I'd been wanting and a yogurt cheese strainer. Contributing my nickles for a great site! ~Eve

BTW, I love the yogurt maker I bought through the recommended links here. I use it all the time.

Kippy
First of all many MANY thanks for your efforts on this wonderful site.
Second (and forgive me if this is the wrong place for this question): I got the raved about Turbo Frother (Hope that nickel was the one that put you over to get the extra FF starbucks, LOL!).
I am not getting anything close to whip cream (or cool-whip) consistency with it. Am I doing something wrong?
I must say the flavored (and some times splenda sweetened) cold frothed milk is a nice refreshing drink as is, but disappointing when I was looking for a dollop of a whipped topping to go on top of some berries.
Are there tricks? Container shape, amount of milk, time, etc?
Thanks.

I have one but have not tried to make cool whip. I hear the milk needs to be very cold and you need to whip for a long time. It does not happen very fast. I should try it some day. I like mine for doing my pudding and making froth on top of my latte when I don't feel like taking out my espresso maker. I leave it sitting on my counter and use it quite often.
