Glad you are trying Core - good luck! You will never be hungry.

Glad you found us Lisa. Beth is right, this is a wonderful place. We all have a similar goal...get healthy... Read through some daily journals too. We are all in different stages of our journey. Some have reached our goals, and are maintaining, some are well into the process, and some are just getting started. We love hearing from everyone. Jump right in and post often. I'm looking forward to getting to know you better. Katie

Hello! I'm back!
I initially started Core in November 2004 weighing 137.6, hit my 10% in January 2005, hit the top of my WW goal range at 124 in February 2005, and made Lifetime in March 2005. My personal goal was 113 but I never got there.
I absolutely loved Core and it was the easiest, most fulfilling plan I'd ever tried ... and I've tried most of them. But, I gradually slipped away and back into old, bad eating habits.
I'm now weighing in at 134.8, about 3 pounds less than my inital starting weight 3 years ago.
I rejoined WW on the Flex plan (just had to give it a try) in July but haven't been pleased with my results and decided to go back to a tried and true plan that I know works - Core!
I'm anxious to get back into the swing of Core and have just completed my first full day back on the plan.
Can't wait to catch up on the board and get to know new friends and become reaquainted with old friends!

Hi, my name is Tracie and I live in West Michigan. I'm 46, divorced, but now have a wonderful boyfriend and I have three sons. They are 18, 20 & 22. I've been on ww a few times before, but have always did the flex plan. This time around one of my girlfriends talked me into trying core and I absolutely love it. I've been on the core plan for 7 weeks and have lost 22 1/2 lbs and have not been hungry at all. I have a bad knee, and a knee replacement is in my future, but because of my age my doctor wants to put it off as long as possible. So I decided if I can lose some weight, my knee might not be so painful, plus I need to do this for health reasons. Diabetes runs in my family and if I can get the weight off, hopefully I will not get it. My brother was diagnosed with it when he was 50 years old. So here I am. I believe this time I am ready for a lifestyle change instead of just losing the weight as in the past. Because I would always put it back on. This time will be different. Since I can't walk, for exercise ( I hobble every where I go because of my knee), so I joined a water aerobics class (I love it) and my boyfriend and I bought bikes on Sunday so we have been biking too. I look forward to learning from all of you and will post some recipes that I have accumulated over the last 7 weeks. I usually try a few new recipes each week. Some I absolutely love, and others are ok. I'll post my favorites in the recipe area and hopefully find some new favorites in there as well.

Hi, Tracie! It's great here at Kippy's - I hope everyone starts posting more.
Good for you for finding exercise you can do with your knee. I hope it gets better soon. You are correct that weight loss and exercise will help.
Hope to see you around the board!

I'm baaaack--to WW, Core AND the Kippy's board! My name is Mikki and I'm from NH. I've been going to WW off and on since September 2000, and made lifetime in October 2001 after losing 100 lbs. I reached goal AGAIN (lost 50 lbs. that I had gained back) in June 2006 and foolishly thought that I could go it on my own at the end of 2006 (as if my experience the first time wasn't a good enough teacher!). It worked for a short while, but then I fell back into old bad habits and as a result gained back the 50 lbs. I worked so hard to lose. SO...I'm back for the third time. This board is terrific and I'm glad to be back to get ideas and support from everyone! I missed you guys!
