Hello Everyone!
This thread is for those of us who are having a problem getting back on Core and / or staying on Core.
I did so well for so long.....and then fell off program a month ago. It is amazing how fast I can gain weight when I go off program.
I finally decided to log in again after a month of being "off program". I just browsed the last 300 postings and found the "Things in Common" thread....and thought maybe a thread such as "I Fell Off and Am Trying to Get Back On" might help me to get back on program.
(My ticker below is extremely false right now.....need to redo the weight....much higher now! Grrrr....What a dummy I am.)
So, if there are any of you in the same situation that I am.....or any others of you who would like to offer me and others support and suggestions.......

I am right there with you. Lately every week has been a struggle for me. I was so close to goal, and for some reason I just can't stick with the plan long enough to get there. I don't know why. I would really like to lose 10 pounds at this point, but I'd be happy with 5. It sounds like it should be so easy, but I have stalled out and have been going up and down the same 4-6 pounds for about a year now. It's ridiculous.
I KNOW Core works and works well if you stick to the plan. And I love it -- I really do. But for some reason I just haven't been able to get through a week lately without falling back into bad habits.

I know Core works.....I really need to get back on and stay on program!
Okay.....just made my Core breakfast and a glass of water.....the beginning of my day!
Hope and pray I can make it the rest of today!
Need to get organized and motivated.....grumph!

What a great idea for a THREAD. Yup I am right there with. I have said for the last two day that today was the day but then yesterday was a birthday party, and lunch with Mom and etc. etc. etc. So today is the day...really...no really....

So happy to see others needing this thread.....maybe together....we can get back on!
Let's list our tips as we go along.....just maybe...some of these tips will help!!!
My plan for today....shop for veggies....and chop up some onions, mushrooms, green peppers, cucumbers, tomatoes, and hardboiled eggs for salads and omelettes.

Okay. My plan for today is to make salad out of the stuff I bought that's still sitting in the fridge uncut. The other thing I MUST do is some form of exercise today, preferably a run outside, but anything physical will do.

Hi all! I have had a really hectic last 2 months and haven't had a chance to even glance here. Many changes... Nikki...I hear you, I haven't gained in the last 2 months, but these last 5-8 lbs are killing me. I lose 2lbs then sabotage myself and gain them back, buckle down and lose them again. If I had lost them and never regained them I could have been at goal months ago. I have yet to understand why I continue to do this to myself. I have heard many different psychologies as to why but none really are me.  I know that some amount of planning always helps. I have much less will power when I am hungry. I will throw an apple in the car with me when I run my errands today and a bottle of water. PS I switched to sparkling water for the 'new' to keep me drinking. I also plan to get on the treadmill today, if I set the time now and schedule it in, maybe I really will do it!! |

SUCCESS: One meal at a time:
Core Breakfast: eggs with canadian bacon, shredded wheat with nonfat milk, and coffee
I can't workout yet since I had the appendectomy a week ago. BUT I am hoping to later in the week. Does wanting to workout count?

Thanks everyone.....glad to know that I am not alone! Maybe together we can do it!
And Jane is right.....we need to plan, plan, plan.
I don't know how I let myself sabotage my weight loss....but I did.....I got too busy to take care of myself and plan ahead......wrong thing to do! I changed my ticker....and this one is right....I gained 19 lbs in a month off program! What a dummy I am!
You are all right....we need to plan ahead and manage our success one meal at a time.
So.....it is 8 pm....and so far I have made it through the day on program.....now if I can just go to bed and stay there through the whole night.....!!!!!!
If I make it through the night....I hope to plan ahead for meals for a few days and get a few groceries....Don't want to overwhelm myself!

Okay this completes two days back on CORE. Yeah. I already feel less bloated which is lovely. How is everyone else doing?

Oh Marcia, thank you for starting this thread!!! I have been off and flopping around by myself for a while... I got on the scale this morning and I don't even want to talk about it yet! Last night I went to the grocery store and bought vegis and some lean meats to cook up. I am really struggling though. Part of that, i'm sure, is from stress. I just bought my first house and I am moving next week. Yes, the day after thanksgiving. Oh, and I got engaged in September! So now I am moving, packing and trying to plan a wedding that won't cost me a small fortune (sheesh these things are expensive) But right now I am munching on baby carrots and I am planning to use the treadmill here at work around 4pm. did I mention I have a highschool reunion next week? The day AFTER i move?! ARGGHH!! so, yeah, stress. ack. But I am drinking water and counting fruits and vegis... Maybe by tomorrow I'll be ready to face up to my ticker and change it...  jeanne |

ok, I still haven't changed my ticker since I can't seem to get my computer to cooperate, but how's everyone doing? how was the weekend? Mine was less than stellar. But I am still reading the boards trying to get my mind back on track! How's everyone else?

I am sooooo off core right now. Geez it is just kind of pitiful. Three birthday parties yesterday and what did I do...cake at each one. It's a sad state of affairs.
