This really is a 5 star product, superior taste to the instant, but only 2 flavors, vanilla and chocolate, and I can only find it at Wal-mart.

I second that. I don't eat the instant any more. My local grocery store (Harris Teeter in NC) carries the vanilla & the chocolate.
Try dipping apple slices in either flavor while it's warm.....

I can't find it anywhere. We don't have super walmarts in california. Or regular walmart is not a good one. They never have their shelves stocked. One employee told me that the night shift just play all night and don't work. Boy, if I were managing that store I would have figured that out long ago. Something wrong with this picture.
Pookie, I love your comic strip.

josh, wow, I thought Wal-mart was so strict and regulated from the inside! Teddy Bear Friend gave me the idea for the comic strip

I can't find the Jell-O brand of vanilla in NYC, but I located the My-T-Fine brand at Pathmark. I haven't tried it yet.
If you love dark chocolate, you can add a little plain cocoa powder to the chocolate mix while you're stirring the milk in.
I stir cooked brown rice and cinnamon into the vanilla for a fast rice pudding. Pre-Core I added raisins also.

Pookie, sorry I am so late responding to this. I thought Walmart would be better managed on the inside too. It may be only our Walmart. California does not want Walmart in their state because they will put the larger chains out of business and they cost the state money. California is in trouble financialy already. We toured the country in July and I stopped at a couple of Super Walmarts because I had never seen one, and I was not impressed. The produce looked like it had been sitting around for a few weeks. I personaly would not eat it. We have such beautiful produce in our state I am spoiled. I shop our small walmart for some items that are cheaper then anywhere else, but not always.
Shirllg: thanks for the tip on the pudding.

cook n' serve tastes so different! It is terrific. I have always wondered a bit about it though.. about it being core. Everyone says it is as long as it is made with ff milk and is sf.. but the first ingredient is cornstarch.. isn't that a core no no?
I only make it once in a while as a treat, but I'm wondering if I am cheating?

fictn, it really really is core! The most important thing is to watch out for abuse & enjoy it in moderation. I love the stuff, but am disappointed in the lack of flavors as well. I just emailed the Jello company regarding this and will keep you updated on their response.

Like fitcn I though the cook and serve sf was off limits. The cook and serve is much much better than the instant. I will start using the cook and serve. Really don't eat that much of the pudding, but do like it at times. Will have to check at Kroger's and see if they carry different favors than vanilla and chocolate.

Well that was a pretty no-nothing response.lol I guess I'm not surprised, at least they did get back to you. Good for you for acting on your thoughts, and questions. Hopefully they will "develop" new flavors. Thanks for sharing their response with us.

Your answer from Jell-o is very similar to the one I received from McDonald's. I am a vegetarian and ask them if they would ever have veggie burgers on their menu. Also explained that there is a university in this small town, that I am not the only vegetarian in town. Their reply was "we will not be offering veggie burgers, as we cater to the majority of our customers".
My thought was "what am I?" I have not been back to McDonald's since that day. DH will eat there every now and then, I don't.
