I like Maintenance Circle...and I could not figure out the "QO" acronyms at all!! ;D Sound great though.
1.2 loss last night brings me 2 lbs. closer to scary maintenance....I really want to keep this up. Xena, did you officially WI - what happened?

Cathy, you'll do fine on maintenance. You can do it!
Sorry about the cryptic acronyms!

No not official yet. I gave up the meetings months ago when I decided I was getting better support here.
I weigh in at home on Monday mornings. BUT often I weigh myself durning the week just so I have a measure of how I am doing.
So last monday the 13th I still had .6 to go. But I of couse am checking and it is getting smaller!
I hope to offically make goal on the 20th. We will see. It is exciting and scary because frankly I don't think it will change much of what I do day to day. I have said that before and gained the weight back so the real challenge for me is to keep on top of it and keep any small gains from turning into big gains.
Factoid: I gained and lost the same twenty pounds in the last calendar year.

I'll join the Maintenance Circle! It's definitely helpful to have support even after reaching goal. This is not something that will go away, we have to continue our vigilance with our eating every single day. I am up a few pounds from my lowest weight (sshhhh.... I haven't changed my stats on the big board!). I'm still below goal and intend to stay there. But I can see I'm going to have to really stay on my game with core and exercise or I'll be crawling away with my tail between my legs! And that wouldn't be a pretty sight!

Ok so I'm pretty word specific is guess. The word challenge was just too much for me to wrap my little brain around. I love the name Maintenance Circle. It feels more like a group of friends supporting each other instead of a contest. Thank you for thinking of this and of me. I knew maintaining would be a whole different mind-set. I'm not saying its harder than losing, it's just a different process all together. It is exciting and scary all at the same time. Looking forward to what everyone has to say.

The more the merrier in our Maintenance Circle.
So Xena, once you hit goal Monday will you go back to a meeting just to tell them you're at goal, and then start to maintain? This is my first time on WW and the whole thing confuses me sometimes, as you can tell.
I love my meeting/leader and as long as I do, once I hit lifetime, I think I will continue to go to weekly meetings for the rest of my life. Many in my meetings do this. I mean if you have to miss a few fine, you only have to WI once a month right. But I love the support there. Have to admit ulterior motives, I want to get my SIL to go with me but it's a sticky situation... she was on WW indirectly since my brother was, but she has to want to join herself.

My understanding is that you have be be an active member and then lose at least 5 lbs and be at goal for six weeks in order to become a lifetimer.
It would mean me losing 5 more lbs and then joining for another six weeks after that. That would probably cost me a lot.
I think going to meetings is great. I have gone several times over the last few years. Most recently last November with my best friend (the one with the bad sewage). They have definitely helped me refocus and get back into the swing of things. I fully support those who go!!!!
But frankly for me between the time, money and the lack of connection I feel with the members it just isn't working for me right now. I am just going to keep doing exactly what I am doing - CORE and lots of Kippy!
This is my official maintenance plan:
THE PLAN - What got you there, keeps you there!
WATCH FOR SUGAR, SECONDS, & SNACKING!
Hit goal = 162 lbs.
Maintenance Plan: Weigh in daily and continue with current food log. Continued with current plan for 6 weeks and make "lifetime" See if adding back in exercise points works or if it triggers sugar madness.
Slowly increase (by 1 point a day) WPA after having hit lifetime goal. Week 1 - 42 points (6 a day) Week 2 - 49 points (7 a day) Week 3 - 56 points (8 a day) etc.
Maintain current goals with exercise = 240 minutes/week
Post weigh-in reports on Monday's and adjust plan for upcoming week at that time.
Over 163 (on Monday WI) go back to 35 WPA and make sure you are following core/exercise to the letter.
What does everyone think? Does it sound sane? ;D
Hugs, Cynthia

Cynthia,
I think your plan is a good one. I must confess that when I hit goal, I never added in more points, but I did get sloppy. Not a very good maintenance plan, is it? I have managed to stay about five pounds below goal since the end of October by tracking my 35 WPAs, and (ahem) really blowing it about once a week, which probably accounts for the other 28 allowed on maintenance. I have a dream that I will lose a few more to get to my personal goal (by actually staying under the 35 WPAs), and then doing something methodical, like you plan to do.
Yes, I'll say it again . . . my current (lack of) plan is really not a good one!

Cynthia, great plan and your motto is perfect. "what got you there, Keeps you there" I'm like Coco, lack of plan is totally me. But I am working on one and feel that I'm making good headway on what will work for me.

I agree, Katie -- the most important part of all this, for me, is actually staying on top of things. So if I've had a sloppy week, I am very aware of it, and I always weigh in. If I have a real gain, I can get back on track really quickly before it gets overwhelming.

I think actually having a plan will make all the difference for me...this time. It has been hard doing these weight bounces over the last few years. I am done with that. Like XOXO said I am going to catch those small gains before they become big.

Cynthia, Give yourself a 2 lb lattitude before reducing WPA. That's what WW recommends, too. Otherwise looks good. Sorry I don't have time for a longer post, but wanted to respond right away.

reducing? I assume you mean increasing the WPA
I am planning on staying on my current plan for six weeks until I make symbolic 'lifetime'. That will hopefully give me a few lbs wiggle room. Then I will start increasing my WPA.
Is that what you meant?

Maybe I misunderstood. I thought your goal was 162, and if you go over 163, you're reducing WPA/going back into weight loss mode. Just wanted to suggest giving yourself 2 lbs lattitude, not 1 lb. . . . ?

Hippo: Oh I get it. Yes that is a good idea. Thanks!
I sure appreciate everyone's feedback. It is so exciting to be at this weight again.
I have to say that having this Circle of Friends to do this with makes if feel so much more likely that I will succeed long term. Tomorrow is weigh-in.... ;D
