Mikki, I totally agree with you!! I had lost weight before too, but this time I knew that the number 127 (some sort of magic number for me) was totally unrealistic now that I'm older and have had 3 kids!! So instead I set my goal for the higher end of the WW weight chart, was able to reach it, and now easily maintain it. I'll never be bikini material, but I think this weight is good for me. I'm not constantly fighting to maintain and I feel great!!!! I also will go to weekly meetings until I'm too old to drive to my WW center!!!!! (I'm only 37, but still........) My meetings are the weekly shot in the arm that keep my going and allow me to be proud of being a Lifetimer each and every week. Monica

My original WW goal was 115, 25 years later it is 125. Funny I don't feel 10 lbs larger! I have 7-8 lbs to get there and I too am taking it slowly. I learned many times over... fast off/fast on or vice/versa. Core is perfect for my situation. It is so much more reasonable and manageable eating.

I became lifetime in 1984 with a loss of 30 pounds using the then WW program that required counting of exchanges. This was after a bit of trauma in my life (evacuation from Beirut and transplant with 2 small children in my mother's home in Los Angeles). In 1998/9 I once again evaluated my weight, realized I was now 60 pounds higher than the original WW weight and began with exchanges, switched to Points and made goal (again) in 1999. I did well for a couple years, stopped counting and journaling and the weight crept back on again. Not all of it but 20 pounds of the 60. Feeling positive about my ability to keep 40 off was not enough but the prospect of counting ANYTHING again was a bit much to take on. Along came Core. I heard about it, embraced it, turned my back on it and once again have embraced it. I may "tweak" in the future but so far this is working for me. The freedom is wonderful! Anyway...my goal is to return to 145, reassess and decide whether I at 53 should go lower than at my wedding weigh-in and just keep eating healthy. Whatever MY BODY determines is my healthy weight while eating healthy foods in moderation and exercising is my goal

I made goal in March of this year, and I then lost an additional 7 lbs off of that! I really want to maintain a weight that I CAN maintain, and I am back up a couple of lbs, but that is OK to me. I am SMALLER than I have been at this weight before, and that is fine with me. At 43 with 2 kids, I am happy where I am. Just don't want to go back!!!

I would like to lose about 4 more lbs, just to see the 120s again. Not sure whether it's worth maintaining there, but I'll know when I get there. I'm okay where I am, too.

I also am new to lifetime. August25,2005. I made goal and lifetime at my Dr's. recommendation, but would like to lose a total of 10 more from that. I have lost 5 of those 10, but as someone else said I am taking it very slowly. Learning how to maintain in the process. I too still go to weekly WI, I like the atmosphere. The support, the accountability, the social, and to be able to support my daughter who has also joined. I'm still trying to figure out what to eat to maintain without allowing old habits to slip back in. Onward to a new and exciting journey...
