LOFLMAO!!!!!!!!!!! I AM LITERALLY REALLY LAUGHING OUT LOUD AT WORK AND PEOPLE ARE LOOKING AT ME LIKE I'M STUPID! Chula is the person who started this thread. I am Mexican. Chula is a word in Spanish meaning, "gorgeous" or "pretty." I am totally cracking up!!!!!! Anyway, I was just replying to her by name but didn't see her actual name so I used her user name. If it helps, my mom thinks I'm a Mexican Chula. Lol!! Thank you guys soooooooooooo much for the laugh!!!!! I can't STOP LAUGHING!!! (I too have tears rolling down my cheeks!)

I am Puerto Rican but never learned any spanish, due to the spelling of my name, Ana, a lot of people assume I speak Spanish. A few years ago I was chatting online and made some friends (that I actually have to this day). One in the group was a puertorican male who greated me the next time online as Linda. I teased him about not being able to keep all the girls straight, then I learned Linda meant pretty and he learned I didn't speak spanish.
I still think he calls all the girls Linda though, the flirt!

I like the idea of an ethnic foods board, too. It would be a quicker place to look when you think "I'm in the mood for Italian tonight..." or Greek, or Mexican, or Hungarian, or whatever.

I'm new and this may not be the correct board but can anyone tell me if ketchup is core? I saw some recipes that listed it. I thought it had to much sugar. Thanks

I am pretty sure ketchup is core (especially if you're not drinking it). However, I'm not certain what category of ethnic food it would fall under. ;D
