I think your original question has been answered, Makoto. Still, I wanted to send you a hug and tell you that I totally understand where you're coming from. I almost ran out of my first meeting in a panic and had a hard time dealing with the scale myself. You are NOT alone and a good leader should know and understand that. If you don't click with your leader, do go to other meetings till you find one you like. I think it makes a big difference. I'm glad you're here. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

*hugs* to you too nightsinge! ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) Oh ya, I finally did groceries today!!! wooohooo... seriously, how lame is it to have an empty fridge for the longest time when you're not broke. I have an exam tomorrow and I haven't studied yet, I'm tired. I walked alot today (going places) and got up early. By the way, I signed up for a Bellydancing class to improve my body image. It's close to my house and it's fun because I really can't dance at all!!! I'm... too *square* (I mean my movements are not graceful or fluid, but stiff!!). It was fun. It made me feel good to leave the house. It's easier to go out now that the weather is better and winter's over. It gets tough and depressing up here during winter (dark and cold). - Makoto

Seems we have more and more in common, Makoto. I'm also in school (in a masters program) and I also lovelovelove bellydancing. I'm so glad you're trying it. ;D Even though you don't need convincing, let me tell you a little about why bellydancing is awesome. It's a dance for all ages of women and ALL SIZES. In fact, if you don't have a little belly, you don't look as good when you dance. ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) I really find exercise tedious and have a hard time doing it. But when I'm at a bellydance class or using a tape, I feel sexy and slinky--even at my largest weight. The music is wonderful too. I'm looking forward to your first experience with it. Have fun!

This thread is an example of what I love about Kippy's site. So much great information, positive vibes, and overall support for one another.
Hugs to all.

Makoto, I'm kind of late in posting to you but I also wanted you to know that I was inspired by your openness and honesty. I'm so glad you went to the meeting.
I have had some of the same troubles with weigh-in being very stressful to me. I do find that the meetings are good for me.
I'll be looking forward to hearing from you again on this board.
Sandy
